Theoretical analysis of the condensation of combustion products in thin gaseous layers

In this paper, a theoretical analysis of the condensation combustion products in narrow gaps between planar plates is performed. The investigation motivated by empirical results shown Veiga-López [“Flame propagation channels,” Ph.D. thesis (Carlos III University Madrid, 2020)] and lack description directly applicable to them. these experiments, he describes how discontinuous condensed water films appeared on walls chamber, forming dry/wet stripes parallel flame front at region. formulation developed here derived from general approach for condensation, which simplified considering conditions high-temperature products. Notably, liquid phase disappears system equations, exclusively contains gaseous phase. expressions resulting are analytical, simple, easy interpret.
